Christopher Bajowa has over 18 years experience in banking and business consultancy. He holds a B. Sc. in Economics and Politics (1989), an M. Sc. in Maritime Studies (1991), as well as an MBA (1992) all from the University of Wales, United Kingdom. Christopher Bajowa also holds a distinction from Duke University, USA for the project appraisal and risk program (2011). He has held many senior positions in top tier Nigerian banks, spearheading investment efforts in key sectors of Nigeria’s economy, as well as executing international expansion initiatives in global money centres.
His banking career commenced in 1995 at the Nigeria Industrial Development Bank (NIDB) now Bank of Industry (BOI) as a Senior Investment Officer. He’s banking experience includes corporate and project finance, structured trade finance, international banking, relationship management, marketing, investments as well as business development at various times at Diamond Bank Plc (Group Head, Project and Specialized Finance Group), Access Bank Plc (Group Head, Corporate Finance), PlatinumHabib Bank Plc and Keystone Bank Limited (Group Head, Global Finance Institutions).
After a career in banking, Christopher Bajowa moved into business consultancy with Plas Pamir Investment Company Limited (2011) as principal partner. He subsequently resigned in October 2013, to take up a position as Executive Director (Business Development and Investment) at Legacy Pension Managers Limited on 13th November, 2013.
He is a member of various professional associations and social clubs including the Association of MBA’s (AMBA), United Kingdom, Ikoyi Club 1938, Lagos and the Lagos Polo Club. He enjoys photography and is a sports enthusiast.
